Our Vision

The Energy Sector, in Israel and around tthe world, is facing major changes. In order to keep the Energy Sector stable and secure, at a reasonable cost, and without the environmental and health impacts, we have to act now for long-term planning and sustainable vision.

In order to achieve this, the Energy Sector in Israel should be based on the principles of efficiency and saving, production from renewable and clean sources, diversity and decentralization of energy sources, high redundancy and advanced management.

  • Advancing Renewable Energy production in Israel. Our report "Zero Carbon Isreal" lays the framework to achieve up to 80% of Renewable Energy in Israel. The report uses sophisticated techno-economic simulation and optimization to lay the most effective way to achieve high penetration of clean energy sources in Israel

  • Promiting strategic planning for Israel's energy resources, mainly the Natural Gas. As part of this effort, the Forum oposes export of substantial portions of the Natural Gas, in order to allow the Israeli Energy Sector to enjoy clean and cheap energy for generations to come.

The Forum works in the following  modes:

  1. Concentration of knowledge and recent studies from abroad

  2. Preparation of feasable alternatives for current policy for decision makers

  3. Promoting Energy Efficiency in large energy consumers such as industry and the comercial sector
